Ballerina bridesmaid

I designed and made this dress wanting to create an essence of a traditional English summer wedding. I made the dress in white satin with a 5 layer organzana overskirt, which was worn with a full hooped petticoat to give form without adding unecessary bulk. (Shown without hooped petticoat). It has elements of a traditional bridesmaid gown in the full skirt and lined sleeveless bodice, the lace up back bodice gave the gown a contemporary twist. The shoes were white satin pumps. Because the white dress provides the blank canvas any coordinating shade or colour can be worked with the wedding colour theme through floral accesories etc.
